UMCRM Gathering

Thanks to all who give generously to the Legacy of Leadership Fund.  This fund plays a vital role in strengthening the future of UM Camp and Retreat Ministries.  The current priorities of the fund include:

• Scholarships to important training for leaders of Camp and Retreat Ministry who otherwise could not afford to attend
• Expanding the participation and leadership of persons from ethnic communities to better serve our changing communities.  1 out of 2 children ages 0-18 will be from ethnic households by 2020 according to US Census projections.
• The development of key resources needed by leaders of Camp Retreat Ministry across the denomination
• Growth of the UM Camp and Retreat Ministry Endowment to under gird long-term priorities and missional effectiveness of UM Camp and Retreat Ministries.

As colleagues and friends, we will have an opportunity to contribute to a free will offering at this year’s National UM Camp Retreat Leader’s Gathering.

For those who desire to join in and give by check, make it payable to “Discipleship Ministries – Legacy of Leadership Fund”.  You can mail the check to Scott Gilpin, Discipleship Ministries, 1908 Grand Avenue, Nashville, TN 37212. You can also hand your check to a committee member rather than mail it.
